Fused Deposition Modeling

FDM printing is one of the more common types of 3D printing technologies. Material is extruded through a nozzle and fused layer by layer to form a part. The resolution is determined by the layer height, which we measure in microns. For reference, the thickness of a single piece of paper is 100 to 200 microns.

Fused Filament Fabrication

FFF is the same as FDM technology, except that it allows us to add a continuous fiber reinforcement to the inside of a part. We can achieve unparalleled strength, stiffness and durability by 3D printing parts with composite fiber infill areas. The resolution is determined by the layer height, which we measure in microns. For reference, the average thickness of a single human hair is 50 to 100 microns.

Stereolithography

SLA 3D printing uses a laser to cure solid isotropic parts from a liquid photopolymer resin. This allows us to create strong, detailed parts with excellent surface finishes. The resolution is determined by the layer height, which we measure in microns. For reference, the thickness of a single wool fiber is 10 to 55 microns.
